Hardware IP Transcoder

The Hardware IP Transcoder ingests live IP channels and converts them in real time using GPU acceleration. It receives multicast or unicast input and outputs multicast or unicast, or feeds our streamer directly, supplying the data it needs to deliver video to end-user devices.

  • NVIDIA GPU-accelerated transcoding
  • H.264 and H.265 (HEVC)
  • Multicast/unicast in and out, or feeds our streamer
  • Dual Gigabit ports, optional dual fibre
  • Baseline 20 SD, 10 HD and 2 UHD channels
Hardware IP transcoder workflow: multicast or unicast IP input, NVIDIA GPU transcoding to H.264 or H.265, then multicast or unicast IP output or a feed to the streamer that delivers to end-user devices
IP in, GPU transcoding, then IP out or straight to the streamer for delivery to end-user devices.

Features

  • GPU-accelerated transcoding on NVIDIA hardware
  • Supports H.264 and H.265 (HEVC)
  • Receives multicast or unicast and outputs multicast or unicast
  • Can feed our streamer directly for delivery to end-user devices
  • Dual Gigabit network ports, with optional dual fibre ports
  • Baseline capacity of 20 SD, 10 HD and 2 UHD channels; actual capacity depends on the source
